Program Description:
At Extreme Flight Simulation located insides the Hotel Polaris we offer a combination of engaging, entertaining, and educational programs. This program covers the major topics of flight and the aviation world including the history of flight, physics of flight, aircraft systems, navigation, and more. These programs will allow teenagers aged 12-18 to glimpse into the world of aviation. Along with classroom time involving flight and aviation theory, students will spend time in our state-of-the-art Boeing 737MAXsimulator. The Boeing 737MAX is one of the most popular aircraft ever made and is represented in painstaking detail. The students will also use the F-16 simulators, replicating one of the most popular military aviation aircraft.
Program Goals:
Our program offers the ability to be immersed in the exciting world of aviation. Everyone will learn the basics of flight and the history of flight. The students will develop collaborative skills with one another, learn to function under pressure, and even practice math and physics in a very new and exciting way. The highlight of this program will be making a completely simulated solo flight - takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, and landing (just like a real pilot practice in the real world)! Students will get to feel what it’s like to be a pilot. Who knows, they might fall in love with it just like we did!
Materials, Supplies, and Equipment:
The classroom sessions will take place in room where we will discuss, demonstrate, and calculate the art of flight. These sessions will be followed by practice flights in the simulators, where students will get to understand the concepts taught right from the captain’s seat
